International lists under UNESCO bring visibility to living heritage all over the world.

1. The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is a list of intangible heritage elements that helps demonstrate the diversity of the living heritage elements and raise awareness about their importance. There are 611 elements on the List.

2. List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding

The List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding is made of intangible heritage elements that require urgent measures to keep them alive. The viability of the elements on the list is seen facing grave threats by the communities and State Parties concerned. There are 82 elements on the List.

3. Register of Good Safeguarding Practices

The Register of Good Safeguarding Practices contains projects, programs and activities that reflect the principles of the Convention. The register serves as a platform for sharing good practices and as a source of inspiration of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. There are 37 elements in the Register.

Finland has inscribed sauna tradition from Finland and Kaustinen fiddle playing to the Representative list. In addition there are two multinational insriptions: Nordic clinker boat traditions and knowledge, craft and skills of handmade glass production.
